The Different Types of Dog Training

Dog training is a process of teaching our dog to behave in a certain manner under a certain circumstances. There are many areas on which to train a dog as well as to the different types of training a dog may undergo. Dogs may be train as early or as young as puppies, this is usually the basic obedience training. Training dogs some tricks is also one type of dog training for pet dogs. Training dogs to be of great help to guide people such as blinds is another type as well as training dogs to be part of military or police force in helping solve crimes. Different types of training may be applicable to different breeds of dogs, but the basic is that all dogs can be train of the basic obedience.

Teaching the basic obedience training for dogs can be impose to puppies as long as they are able to carry on and understand your commands or to adult dog that in any way was not given any dog training. The basic obedience training usually consists of five behaviors: sit, down, stay, come and heel. Basic obedience training is usually taught to establish a foundation for your dog from which he can effectively learn to socialize with other people and dogs. Moreover, the basic obedience training will serve as a foundation for your dog to carry on more advance and difficult task such as performing tricks.

There are may reasons why dog owners teach their dogs tricks, but the common among them is they want to develop a closer relationship with their dogs and it provides them entertainment which is also a good thing for dogs to alleviate boredom.The most common tricks you may teach you dog are tricks that require him to think. Teaching your dog to shake hands, get your slippers, carry a basket, take a bow and sit up pretty are the few among thousands of tricks you may teach your dog. Aside from tricks, there are also dogs that can be train to assist people with disabilities.

Dogs that are train to assist and guide people with disability is usually referred to as assistance dogs. There are three types in which assistance dogs may be classified, guide dogs, hearing dogs and service dogs. Guide dogs are trained to assist the blind or the visually impaired person, while the hearing dogs are trained to assist the deaf and often called signal dogs, and the service dogs are trained to help persons with physical disabilities.  Assistance dogs mostly come from a specific training program or may be train by their individual handler with a help from professional trainer.

There are also dogs that are train to help in some dangerous operations of police officers and military, specially now a days that a threat in terrorism has bought fear in every individual. Dogs are train to sniff on person's things and bags especially in airports and sea ports to detect possible explosives that may be planted on  people's baggage. There are also some dogs train to detect or track dead bodies, bombs as well as drugs. The training of these dogs is usually rigorous and requires the supervision of a professional dog trainer.

Whatever types of training are applied to different dogs, the most important things is that they are able to help people in different ways. The ultimate objective of training dos is to develop your personal relationship with your dog so that they may be able to grow and live their lives the way you want them to be. Dogs are naturally born to have what we call cooperation with their companion, thus every dog owner or trainer for that matter should have the sense of responsibility to use these into a positive result or outcome.
